Back again....with some exciting news!!

Well, as you can see, I haven't quite got into the groove of blogging.  I love to read other blog writers, who are so good at documenting their lives and writing creative, funny stories. I however, am not there!  I have thought about my blog often, knowing it's just waiting for me... 

Grace is now 4 (going on 25) and is so funny and smart, sometimes I can't stand it!! Addison just turned 2 and is just so smart, adorable and hilarious!! Grace has started preschool this year and goes two days a week.  She loves it and I am fitting into the role of "room mother" quite nicely.  She can write numbers 1-20, do math, write most of her letters and put them together to form words.  The teacher in me is totally coming out and I love that she is so excited about learning new things!

Addison has become quite the talker, saying too many words to count and forming 3-5 word sentences! I just love having little conversations with her and watching her and Grace talk with each other....it's just precious! I think Addy is definitely ready for dance class...as she shows (and tells) me every day.  "Mommy, I dancing" as she spins and twirls, and "Watch Mommy!" as she puts her hands on the couch and lifts one leg in the air. Yes, she's ready...

Life is busy but great...having two beautiful, full of life girls is a blessing.  Not always easy, but I love it all! And as my husband and I watched our little girls dancing and twirling together, we began to think...is it time for another? YES it is!!!

Long Week...

Describing this week as a long week is an understatement!  From trying to locate my daughter's flower girl dress (it was sent to the wrong address....it took days to figure that out!) to being fully introduced to the 'terrible threes' (apparently, being told to put underwear on turns our whole world upside down these days!) This week was LONG!

On a more positive note, we made a little St. Patrick's Day craft....

Addison's 1st Birthday

We recently celebrated Addy's first birthday!  I feel like I was planning this party for such a long time!  I was so excited when the weekend of her party finally arrived!  We have a lot of family...and I don't mean second, third cousins.  I mean just immediate extended family, so our invite total was 88 people!  I feel blessed to have such a big and wonderful family, but sometimes I do envy those that get to throw a small party! 
The day was beautiful!  We had her party at an American Legion Hall since you would not be able to move with 85 people in my house!

I had an adorable collage of photos framed along with her baby book and an autograph frame as a keepsake for Addison!

We had entertainment for the kids (since there were about 20!). Balloon animals and face painting were a hit (thanks to my wonderful parents who arranged for them!)

Addison LOVED her cake and was putting on quite the show for everyone, smiling, laughing...it was ADORABLE!

Grace enjoyed her cake too, although, she wasn't quite as cooperative with the camera!!

It was a fabulous party but a lot of work!  I couldn't have done it without my parents or brothers or sister!  We have so many wonderful memories from that day!! What a blessing!

Here I go....

I've been reading blogs for a while now, and thought it was time to start my own!  I have two beautiful daughters, Grace, 3 and Addison, 1. I am lucky enough to be a stay at home mom which is the most rewarding and challenging thing I've ever done!

Everyday has it's ups and downs, and I'm enjoying my journey of motherhood to the fullest and now looking forward to my blogging days!
